My day is off and running. My coffee is Door County Cherry Crème and it is hot and sassy.
No one likes to wait for anything. I am one of those who doesn't like to wait for service or answers. I am not very proud of my lack of patience. Although I must say I am better each year and have made some big strides in patience compared to my early life. I have to credit God with the change that has been made.
I like prime rib roasts. A prime rib roast needs to be cooked slowly with just the right seasonings. A prime rib roast cooked to fast ends up being tough and lacking flavor. The time in the oven is everything.
There are times when God allows us to go through a season in life. Some of those seasons are tough and not comfortable. But God assures us that they will end. It is a sure thing. God will perfect everything in His time either now or later. His timing is best and is all in the recipe. It is called trust.
Revelation 21:4 (NLT)
4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”
A sure thing 100% it will be over when we reach heaven. But for some this isn't good enough. We want God to accelerate His process. We basically say that we don't trust Him. We want the season to end now. Many have prayed for seasons to end and when they don't, they quit on God. In the longest conversation recorded in the Bible, Job decides to let God know what he thinks. God then asks Job some questions. God lets Job know who is in charge. When we challenge God's answer we pull a "Job".
The Lord Challenges Job
