Grisly Bears and the Bible

Good Morning,

Friday why did you leave me for so long? This morning my cup is filled with Door County Cinnamon Sugar Biscotti Coffee.

A hunting lodge operator who shot and killed his wife was brought up on second degree murder charges in 1984. The jury deliberated for close to ten hours before they finally acquitted him. The man had mistakenly taken his wife for a grisly bear. I do not make jest of murder but there is a lesson to be learned from this joke.

Most of all the this lesson can be learned by either gender. Too many times we growl, snarl, and roar at others because we think it is ok. We are to love one another as Christ loved us. We are to speak with love and use kind words.

Proverbs 15:1

A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

Ephesians 4:29

Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.

1 Thessalonians 5:11

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.

Proverbs 25:11

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.

I guess we need to "bear" with one another. Be nice today.

God bless,
Marty
