Icy Roads 12/20/13

Good Morning,

Once again Friday and I have been reunited.
Time to head out the door with my hot cup of Door County White Christmas  Coffee.

The forecast today for Wisconsin is for a bout with ice and snow. I really don't mind the snow but driving on ice is really not something one looks forward to. But it's all part of that magical season of winter. As I listened to the forecast I thought about the drive to work and how just even a small mistake on the ice would make for a bad day with a crash and a broken car, maybe even an injury.

It doesn't take much to find yourself flying off the road and into a ditch. The road of life reminds me of an icy Wisconsin road. We travel through life headed to a destination and think we are doing well. That destination for Christians is to be more like Jesus every day. We all want to change and leave bad habits behind. But it seems that just a little temptation, when given into starts to pull us off the road and toward the ditch. Sometimes it pulls slowly and at other times it might pull us in deeply very quick. We need to be aware of the damage a little sin can cause.

Proverbs 21:16-18 (NIV)

16 Whoever strays from the path of prudence
comes to rest in the company of the dead.

Hey Friends,
Keep her straight on the road and out of the ditch.
Love
Marty
