Blessed are the Peacemakers 12/5/13

Good Morning,

Thursday and this day started with Door County Jingle Bell Java Coffee for me.

I listen a lot to many people and at times and it does not take much to hear the bitterness, anger or rage that is held within their hearts. You will find that they can make many excuses for not joining in for a Christmas celebration.

I often think to myself, "what a shame".  They choose to be angry and non-forgiving. They choose to deepen their wounds with the salt of un-forgiveness. They increase their agony by not pursuing peace. Then they wonder why they feel miserable and that God does not hear their prayers.

There is a simple answer to the problem.

Matthew 5:9 (NIV)

Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
When we make peace we are more in line with what God desires of His Children. And He declares a blessing over us. The blessing is a heart filled with peace and not bitterness, anger or rage.
Make this Christmas a great one for someone else by affirming your love for them or re-establishing your relationship with them.
God bless,
Marty
