The First Fire 8/17/19

Good Morning.

Time for a fast cup of Door County  Highlander  Grog  Coffee and then it's  time to head to church to roast corn for our annual picnic. Everyone just loves a picnic

Last night my wife Rene and I inaugurated  our new fire pit with it's  first fire. We purchased  the  pit earlier in the spring and every time  we wanted to light it up there was some reason we couldn't do it.  Weather and timing were against us all summer until last night.

We sat outside for about an hour with a small fire burning. Mosquitoes  were not invited to our simple inaugural fire. They stayed away and did not disrupt the party.

It was quiet out in our yard and neither  of us spoke very much.  We both agreed that it was a great night.  Sometimes simple is the best. Friends, now and then you just have to take a moment to enjoy the simple things  in your  life.

Ecclesiastes 4:6
Better a handful with quietness.  Than both  hands full, together with toil and  grasping  for the wind.

So today. Keep it simple. Don't  let your first fire be the last fire.

Marty
