I just decorated the inside of my mug with some Door County Country Morning Blend Coffee. With my mug next to me I am ready to share a thought .
As I continue sharing messages on wisdom it's time to talk about saving money.
My wife would say and I agree with her that we have lived a frugal lifestyle. Some years have been easier to save some money and others were difficult. But we always tried to put away some dollars for our retirement years and for days when things break or need to be replaced. Some believe that saving money is not Biblical. We do support our church and some other charities as God has directed us to do so. The key is to save some if possible of anything leftover
At times you have to choose between frivolous spending and saving.
Contrary to some beliefs the Bible does advise us to share and yet save for the future. It might be that God is leading you to save so you can help someone else in a greater way. Or it might be for you to have and take care of your family and yourself. Friends it is Biblical to save and we should all try to do so.
Proverbs 6:6-8 English Standard Version (ESV)
6 Go to the ant, O sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise.
7 Without having any chief, she provides her supplies in the summer and gathers her food in the harvest.
7 Without having any chief, she provides her supplies in the summer and gathers her food in the harvest.
It is simple, you can't spend or eat what you haven't put away
So saving is another example of wisdom
God bless.
