Sri Lanka Our Prayers Are With You 4/23/2019

Good Morning,

This morning started with a somber tone. I love my morning cup of Door County  Mocha  Mint Coffee. But I am finding it hard to be joyful today.

It is hard to imagine sitting in church and having a suicide bomber blow up the church, your family and friends. It doesn't  surprise me that evil is so obnoxiously cowardly that it resorts to attacking places of worship. We have experienced this hatred in the United States also.

My heart and prayers go out to all of the families of recent martyrs murdered for their faith. The suicide bomber accomplished his goal. He died. But those martyred in the name of Jesus live on. In a useless, senseless attack on Christianity the terrorist accomplished one thing he set out to do. He died and now awaits the final judgement where he will spend eternity with others like him. They lose. They just don't know the end of the story.

Romans 8:38-39 New International Version (NIV)
38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Revelation 20:10 English Standard Version (ESV)
10 and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Revelation 21:8 New King James Version (NKJV)

But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

Pray on Dear Friends. Keep the faith.

Marty
