My day has begun with prayer for some special people and then I poured a big cup of Door County Lakeside Fuzzy Naval Coffee. Friday, here I come.
It has been said that curiosity is a sign of a healthy mind. It's like having a teacher housed within us that makes us challenge our normal. Curiosity can also be a deceitful liar which helps to remove the safety belt of morality, and Biblical restraints. It leads us to wonder and try the temptations that might come along in life. It has a way of making wrong seem right, at least for a short moment. It is like a magician that can hide consequences behind the thrill of indecency, and overindulgences.
Yet healthy curiosity can lead someone to take apart a motor to see how it works and then leads to a career of being an ace mechanic. Or the curiosity that wants to fly, can result in someone becoming a pilot. The great possibilities are endless. But we must be cautious with curiosity.
Curiosity in many instances is our excuse for giving into temptations. When we stay intact with our Biblical restraints and knowledge we can avoid falling for the old saying, " I had to satisfy my curiosity".
1 Corinthians 10:13 New International Version (NIV)
13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted,[c] he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
Psalm 119:11 New International Version (NIV)
11 I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you.
that I might not sin against you.
Food for thought on this beautiful Friday,
Marty
