A House Divided 2/20/2018

Good Morning,

This day has begun with a big pot of Door County Cherry Crème Coffee and a prayer. Let this Tuesday begin on a happy note.

All too often we see families who just seem to argue about everything. We see parents working day and night to satisfy the different opinions and desires of each child. In some instances the kids determine what they will eat or not eat and the parents start running a short order grill in their home.

2 Chronicles 7:14 King James Version (KJV)
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Last night on the news the main story was about teens vaping in school. They didn't know what to do about it. In my day there were kids who would try to sneak a smoke in the bathroom. If they were caught there were consequences to their actions.  Now if you single a kid out and levy a form of punishment you are accused of not engaging the poor teen. If a child skips school now, the parent can be fined. Yet the parent isn't allowed to put a boot in the rear end of the truant. That would be abuse. So instead put the parent in jail. This is idiotic.

When in my title I said "A house divided" I meant that many homes are divided by what's right and wrong and the right and wrong isn't Biblically based. We have taken God and prayer out of the schools, discounted the Bible as just a nice book and we wonder why families rage against one another and teens rebel and get away with it.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 New International Version (NIV)
16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God[a] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

We murder babies every day in abortion clinics and then want teens to respect life and not shoot people. For years they have been taught that life doesn't matter. We need to take the blinders off my friends and get back to basics and not allow our homes to be divided.

We seem to want to run the world with our ideals and so far I am not impressed and neither should you be. We fell for the lies again and who is the father of lies? Certainly not God.

Wake up my friends, it's not too late. Take your family and your lives back.

God bless,

Marty
