Thoughts For A Saturday 1/20/2018

Good Morning,

I can see the steam rising from my cup of Door County Chocolate Raspberry Truffle Coffee and contrasted behind the mug is the window in our den. I see the cloudy skies and some birds eating in the neighbors feeder.

In the background I have some easy music playing on the old radio. The other thing I see in the yard are the footprints from our dog Gibbs in the snow. Next to his are Rene's foot tracks. When she gets home from work , Rene takes Gibbs to the back yard to let run and play. This has become a daily ritual for the two of them. Seeing those tracks reminded me to pray for them and to be thankful for family, which led me to pray for the rest of our family.

Philippians 4:6-9King James Version (KJV)
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Here's the short thought for the day. The footprints in the snow are special to me, because those two have placed tracks of love across my heart. Then there are the others who have placed their tracks on my heart, each leaving a track of love. I took some time to think about all of those who have shown me love and kindness. Well, as many as this feeble mind could recall. I asked God to bless them in a special way. What He will do, I have no idea. They will never know they were prayed for. It's a secret between Our Father and me.

So take some time and recall memories on  this fine day. Slow down and enjoy a good time. Think about the positive things in life. Don't dwell on the ugly. Pray for those who have laid tracks on your heart.

God bless,

Marty
