I am still on the road today and I am for sure missing my cup of Door County Peanut Butter Crunch Coffee. Happy Easter to everyone. May you day be blessed.
Definition Of Easter
noun
1.
an annual Christian festival in commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, observed on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the vernal equinox, as calculated according to tables based in Western churches on the Gregorian calendar and in Orthodox churches on the Julian calendar.
2.
Also called Easter Sunday. the day on which this festival is celebrated.
No other holiday is as critical to the Christian faith as Easter. The very foundation of Christianity stands or crumbles on the truthfulness of the assertion that Jesus Christ rose from the dead. Easter is not about religious ritual or tradition. It is about the resurrection of the Son of God, a historical event. It is significant because of what the resurrection of Jesus validates.
I. The resurrection of Christ validates Scripture.
A. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 “Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.”
Without the resurrection the Old Testament prophecies would have been a hoax. Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies, putting an end to all doubt. The resurrection cements our faith in God.

This is why we celebrate Easter. Our God cannot be doubted and He went so far as to prove Himself. What was said would happen, happened. This is why we can rest on His Promise to save sinners like us.
John 3:16New International Version (NIV)
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
So, celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and cherish your salvation.
God Bless
