April Fools 4/1/2013

Good Morning.

Just wanted to say that when you read this "you are loved"! I am starting my day with a hot cup of Door County Peanut Butter Crunch coffee.

April 1st is a day where people will pull a harmless prank on someone and then say"April Fools"!
I have no idea where or when this started. You do the research and let me know. I have been on the receiving end of the pranks and have actually pulled a couple myself. So if the jokes are harmless and cause no pain I guess the tradition goes on.

God actually uses the word fool in the Bible. I thought it would be interesting to see some verses that God equates with fools. Enjoy the reading!

There are Bible verses about fools that help guide us in our daily lives. Many verses in Proverbs and Psalms tell us how to avoid fools, to choose wisely and to live according to God's will. The foolish make bad decisions and can be easily led astray.

Being a fool doesn't mean you are stupid. In fact, usually a fool is someone who just is too lazy to think about the consequences of their actions. So take heed of what is in the Bible about foolishness. That way, you can more easily lead a smart and holy life.
Psalms 14:1 The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that does good.
Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 10:13 In the lips of him that has understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.
Proverbs 10:14 Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.
Proverbs 14:1 Every wise woman builds her house: but the foolish plucks it down with her hands.
Proverbs 14:15 The simple believes every word: but the prudent man looks well to his going.
Proverbs 18:2 A fool has no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.
Proverbs 20:3 It is an honor for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling.
Proverbs 29:11 A fool utters all his mind: but a wise man keeps it in till afterwards.
Ecclesiastes 4:5 The fool folds his hands together, and eats his own flesh.
Ecclesiastes 7:9 Be not hasty in your spirit to be angry: for anger rests in the bosom of fools.
Titus 3:3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
God bless,
Marty
