Still Raising Up Lives. Happy Easter 4/1/2018

Good Morning,

I can hear two doves cooing outside our window in the den. The fireplace is slowly spreading heat to the house and my cup of Door County Cherry Crème Coffee is steaming right next to me. Life is good.

Today we celebrate Easter Sunday. This day is celebrated by Christians around the world as we remember that we serve a Savior who could not be held by the grave. He overcame the sting of death and conquered sin. Our God lives.

Matthew 28:1-10 New King James Version (NKJV)

He Is Risen

28 Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door,[a] and sat on it. His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. And the guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead men.
But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.”
So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples word.

The Women Worship the Risen Lord

And as they went to tell His disciples,[b] behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Rejoice!” So they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him. 10 Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell My brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me.”

Friends, enjoy this Easter Sunday. Always remember the power of God and the divine power it took to have the Earth quake, the stone roll away and the power it took to put fear into hardened soldiers. Remember the power it took to raise Jesus from the grave. It takes literally no power to destroy lives or stop a beating heart, but what power it takes to raise up a dead body from the grave. What power it takes to restore a family, give back the life of an addict, give assurance to one filled with anxiety and fear beyond belief. Yes, that same power is available today to restore lives. Jesus lives and can help us face tomorrow. He has risen that we might have life eternal and have restored lives until the day of heaven. The addict can overcome the call of the drugs with Jesus. Families can forgive one another through the power of Jesus. A violent raging heart can be tamed through the power of Jesus. He just needs to be called on. Won't you let Him resurrect your life today?

Revelation 3:20 New King James Version (NKJV)
20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

God bless,

Marty
