Even If The Golden Streets Are Paved With Dirt. 4/22/2018

Good Morning,

Wake up it's time to smell the roses or the wood in the fireplace. Which ever you choose its what is right for you. I am enjoying a cup of Door County Jamaican Blue Mountain Blend Coffee and it is very early as I write.

Hopefully you have all heard about how gloriously beautiful heaven is. I can't even imagine the streets being paved with gold and the beautiful lights.

Revelation 21:4 New International Version (NIV)
‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[a] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Revelation 22:1-5 New International Version (NIV)
22 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever

Revelation 21:21-27 New International Version (NIV)
21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass.
22 I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. 24 The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it. 25 On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there. 26 The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it. 27 Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

After reading this, who wouldn't want to go to heaven. I know my final travel plans take me there someday. I do want to say this. If the streets were paved with dirt and I had to use a flashlight to get around I would still want to go to heaven. It's not the scenery I want to see. I want to thank the One who died for me in person. I want to thank the One who loved me so much that He suffered and died for me. Let me see Jesus will be my cry.

Food for thought.

Marty
