The End Of The Year 12/26/2016

Good Morning,

The day after Christmas and I just had to fill a cup with Door County White Christmas Coffee to keep my Christmas drive going.

Looking ahead to next weekend and the end of 2016 and the beginning of 2017. But to me it seems as if 2017 started early. In the United Sates we have the presidential inauguration coming up after a hard fought, very ugly election process. One president in place with seemingly no power and the president elect taking charge before the actual day of the power transfer.

I like many have issues to take care of from 2016 that will last into 2017. So there just doesn't seem to be an end and a beginning this time around.

I am sure that no matter what country you are from there are many people that feel the same way. Terrorism hasn't stopped, just ask the people in Germany. Churches are being threatened now and air liners are still crashing.

So, what is my point? God hasn't changed. He will someday judge this world and all that is in it. So despite what is going on, we are to embrace our Savior Jesus Christ, pray daily and especially stay in the Word. We are to love on another, forgive and do good. Nothing has changed there either. But each day with God is always different than the day before.  So my advice is this. End the year strong, cling to God, and carry that  desire into the new year. Enjoy your family, pray often, love others, go to work and be in church. Look forward to each day with God.

Lamentations 3:22-23English Standard Version (ESV)
22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
    his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
    great is your faithfulness.

God bless,

Marty
