Another little snow storm dropped a good sized amount of snow on our driveway last night. What a blessing to have a neighbor who was there when I got home and was using his new snow blower to help us out. How nice is that?
My mug is filled with Door County German Chocolate Cake Coffee this fine morning.
Matthew 26:53
Psalms 91:11-12
Jesus came from Heaven to die for the sins of the world. Did you ever think about that lonely time before His death on the cross? Jesus could have called 1000 angels to take Him down, seal His wounds and fight His captors. But He didn't. What kept Him there? Was it the threat of the Roman guards? Was it fear of their spears and swords? Was it the nails that held Jesus to the wood of the cross? No! It was none of these. What kept Him there was love. Love for His Father and love for you and me.
1 John 4:19-21New King James Version (NKJV)
19 We love Him because He first loved us.
Romans 5:8New King James Version (NKJV)
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
So if today you wonder if you are loved, He could have called, but He didn't. That's how much you are loved.
God bless,
Marty
