You'll Never Walk Alone 7/11/2025

 Good Morning,

I am resting for a moment this morning with a hot cup of Door County White Christmas Coffee at my side and I am ready to write.

A few days ago I wrote about how a hymn continues to inspire me. I want to share another old hymn that always moves my heart and actually leads me to read Scripture .

'You'll never walk alone was written by composer Richard Rogers and lyricist Oscar Hammerstein II for the 1945 musical Carousel and later has been adopted as a song of hope.

It reminds me that in my darkest times God is with me. This is something that I needed to remind me of His presence, especially these last 7 months. The song reminds me that the world never stops, even when we are grieving from a loss, or difficulty. It challenged me to keep walking and know that I do not walk alone.

The song is exceptionally comforting and and challenging at the same time.

When you walk through a storm

Hold your head up high

And don't be afraid of the dark

At the end of the storm

Is a golden sky

And the Sweet silver song of a lark.

Walk on through the wind,

Walk on through the rain,

Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown. Walk on, Walk on

With hope in your heart

And you'll never walk alone,

Matthew 28:20 ESV Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold. I am with you always, to the end of the age.

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them. For it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.

God Bless

Marty
