Good Morning,
I am working my way through a hot cup of Door County S'Mores Coffee and I am ready to write.
Matthew 25:35 For I was hungry and you gave me food. I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you welcomed me.
My morning view today!
We have a guest dog staying with us for a few days. Our nephew's dog Waylon stays with us now and then when our nephew has to work out of town. When Waylon first started rooming with us he would find a spot in the house and pretty much stay to himself. Our home and our two dogs just was foreign to him. Little by little he started to join in and now when he comes through the door for a visit, he knows where everything is. He needs no coaxing to join in on the fun in the back yard or in the house. He has especially adopted my wife Rene as his best buddy. He knows he is loved and is not a guest, but family.
My point for the day is this. Now and then everyone has the opportunity to open their heart, their home, or their time to others. How do you approach these opportunities? Are they an opportunity or a duty? Can others see the good intentions of your heart. Do you embrace the opportunity to share, or do you ignore it? Do people know that they are welcome in your life. You are a great person and your heart can and should be shared with others.
Food for thought.
Marty
