Good Morning,
Despite the major heat, I still like my Door County Chocolate Raspberry Truffle Coffee hot and the first thing I drink each day.
Psalm 5:3 My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up.
I want to tell you a little about my morning routine and how it was almost a disaster a couple days ago.
With my coffee in hand and two dogs who needed to get outside, I went to the garage to obtain some bird seed and fill the bird feeder. In order to fill that feeder I needed to set my coffee mug down. The rear bumper on my truck was handy, so that is where the mug was placed. I fed the birds, ran our dogs around and went into the house and dressed for the day. Up until then it was gym shorts and a tee shirt. After I dressed I hopped into my truck and went about some errands.
I was about a mile from home and stopped for a traffic light. A car pulled up next to me and motioned for me to roll down my passenger side window. The fella asked me if I knew that there was a coffee mug on my back bumper. I changed lanes slowly and pulled into a vacant lot. There it was! My keepsake coffee mug still on the bumper and with all the liquid. Only God could save the mug that means a lot to me and preserve the liquid.
It was then that I recalled my morning prayer time. I had asked God to watch over me and keep my steps safe. I give God the thanks for saving my feelings and the mug.
A day started with prayer and asking for protection, even if it is for protection from yourself, has a better chance to succeed than one without prayer.
God bless,
Marty
