Kicking It Into High Gear 7/21/2025

 Good Morning,

Monday it is and I am enjoying a hot cup of Door County Jamaican Me Crazy Coffee and it is time to write.

I accomplished a lot yesterday as far as moving our wood piles and preparing for our siding to be replaced. A  few more hours of work and I will be more than ready.

In all honesty I have to give credit to my wife who manned the wheelbarrow for several trips to the new spot for the wood. Rene mentioned a thought as to how we could do less work and the idea was perfect. So between the two of us we accomplished a lot yesterday. I am hoping for good returns on our efforts again today.

So my biggest failure yesterday was to use the word I instead of we. All that work would not have gotten done without a joint effort and both of us able to share our thoughts. At times I consciously have to remember that this marriage has lasted 1000 years because we took the "I" out of it and made the two of us "we". We learned to drop the my house and properly say the truth, it is our home.

I found myself stacking wood and thanking God for Him being the head of this home. So we two, are we three.  It works better that way!

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 NIV  9. Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor:

10. If one of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.

11. Also if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone?

12. Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.

A cord of three is not quickly broken.

Have a great day!

Marty
