In My Dreams 7/22/2025

 Good Morning,

The alarm signaled the start to this day and my hot cup of Door County Jamaican Blue Mountain Blend Coffee is steaming next to me. So it is time to write.

2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17. So that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Have you ever experienced a good night of sleep that was interrupted by a dream and you just wanted to continue on with the dream? One of those dreams, where you went back to sleep, hoping that you could be there for a part two or at least to finish the dream?

I don't place too much importance on dreams. I know that God has used dreams to communicate to people, but for me that hasn't really happened. I don't experience a dream and then spend hours or days trying to interpret the importance or meaning in the dream.

Last night I experienced dreaming and in my dream I encountered one of my childhood friends who was playing on a beautiful street. He was excited to see me and I was happy to see him. He started to tell me all about heaven. "You will be happy to see many of the people he said. In fact there are lot's of Bible heroes here and God and Jesus are everywhere." It was a simplistic dream of two little boys enjoying a friendship that I know will last for eternity. I started to ask him about my mother and then I woke up.

There is not a big lesson here for this day. I won't talk about the science and study of dreams. In my dream last night, if the streets in heaven are anything like I saw, I can't fathom my first stroll through. I for one rely on God's Word to lead me. I trust in it fully.  God's word has never failed me. I do believe that some of my dreams might have been the result of a spicy taco before bed.

May God be the Author and Lord of your dreams. And I sincerely pray that you will have a great day.

God bless,

Marty
