Good Morning,
My cup of Door County Blackberry Shortcake Coffee is almost gone already. This morning is not on schedule or following my usual routine. But it is now time to write anyway.
Last night after our Saturday night church service, we held our monthly prayer gathering. Prayer time was well attended and the prayer requests were all over the place. Each one mentioned received prayer from the small band of prayer warriors.
Romans 12:10 Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another with showing honor.
It was a night where the majority of the prayers were for people outside of the gathering. Very few prayers were for the people who gathered to pray, This little army went to battle for others. They took the requests and went straight to the throne of God and never did leave until all of the requests were prayed for. We closed with a song and went home. What will always impress me is how this group always places others ahead of themselves. They are some of the most unselfish people I know. If you are reading this, I ask you this question. When you pray, are you at the top of your list or are others ahead of you? It really doesn't matter, but shouldn't we always place others first?
Food for thought.
Marty
