My Thermos bottle was filled with Door County Tanzanian Peaberry Coffee and I headed out to start the hunting season. No luck on the ducks, but the coffee and the company I kept were both great.
Proverbs 14:23 New International Version (NIV)
23 All hard work brings a profit,
but mere talk leads only to poverty.
but mere talk leads only to poverty.
No one ever said that life was easy and things never get rough. But it makes you wonder why people think that life should be perfect all the time. Life, work, family, and church can all get sideways on a person in a quick way.
Here's the million dollar answer. Each day is a job for us to work on our own behalf and that of others. The harder we work the better the results in any situation. We will never improve our circumstances by letting others form an opinion of us by the lack of evidence seen, We have to be people who see a concern and handle it Biblically. The evidence of our effort can be seen . This is paramount in developing honesty. How much we work is an indicator that we have engaged. Or it is another issue that we are not spending enough time addressing.
A pile of wood doesn't stack itself. Work is always evident when effort is put into it. It is the fruit of your labor.
God warns us here in Proverbs 17:23 to be diligent while working. Say what you will do and do it,
Food For Thought.
