We are celebrating our Independence Day in America today. There will be flags flying high, parades, cookout, and fireworks for sure. My picture of the Washington Monument is an old one. It shows the monument receiving repairs. It reminds my that we need some repairs in America today.
We celebrate our freedom and those who fought for it. But somewhere sitting alone us a woman or child who gave been beaten by the man of the house. They are hoping for a day of peace without fireworks at home. They are scarred on the outside and within. Today I am praying for their independence. If you know someone who is living like this reach out to them. Arrange for them to get help. If you are reading this and you are the one beating your wife and kids, you need help. Leave them in peace and go and get help. You are in sin and must repent. You can be helped.
1Peter 3:7 Husbands love your wives, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor tothe wife as to the weaker vessel.
Let today be their independence day from hurt and pain. Men you also claim your independence from sin. Cease from anger and forsake wrath.
