Good Morning,
Bring on the Door County Mocha Mint Coffee and just a little breakfast to help me ease into this day. Don't forget that you are loved!
Colossians 1:22 New International Version (NIV)
22 But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation.
My wife Rene likes to decorate our home with antiques. The antiques can be furniture, dishes, kitchen gadgets, railroad memorabilia or telephones. Our house is like a museum of Americana and Italian relics. Some of the items within our home were being thrown away and Rene brought them home for free. With a little work on my part, what was once useless has been restored. Some of the items were handed down to us from relatives and they too needed a little help to become beautiful again.
My point is this. Some of the items above were considered to be worthless and not of any use at all. It just took some time and tender loving care to restore their beauty and give them purpose. People are like antiques. Someone needs to see the beauty in them and work to restore them. Jesus sees us as beautiful and important. He gave His life to restore our relationship with God and give us new hope and purpose. Jesus never sees us as trash. He sees us as a treasure, precious enough to die for.
Have a great day!
Marty
