Sunday Morning Breakfast 5/6/2018

Good Morning,

It's raining this morning in my part of the world and it is a little chilly outside. Therefore my mug of Door County Chocolate Cherry Coffee is on the larger side and the fireplace is crackling with a small fire to take the cold and dampness in the house away.

Rene will be rising from our warm bed in a few minutes and I will start breakfast for the two of us. We will sit at the small kitchen table with our biscuits, butter,  sausages and orange juice. We will pray and then talk about the plans for today and tomorrow. We will both take turns talking about things on our minds. The breakfast is just a good way to get us to sit and communicate.
Yesterday will be discussed a little. We enjoyed a taco fellowship last night after our Saturday night church service. It was very nice as usual and we came home full of Mexican food and warm hearts having gathered with God and friends.

Why am I writing about today's breakfast? It's very simple my friends. The world we live in is spinning at a pace that is so fast that meal times are often hurried and rushed through. I often will think to myself or mention to Rene that it is very nice to have someone to share biscuits with. That can and will all change someday and we will experience the quietness of a lonely table so why not enjoy what we have now? We should never take for granted that the chair will be occupied next week..
We all know someone who is in that condition. We invite them socially for dinner or picnics, but do we ever start our day with them over breakfast, prayer and good fellowship? I would suggest we try it and make someone's day better right from the start. We attend church on Saturday nights, but for those who attend on Sundays, what a nice way to start the day off! A simple breakfast, then attend church together as members of God's family and worship our Creator.

Matthew 18:20 New International Version (NIV)
20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

Make it a habit to gather and enjoy family before it is too late and the dynamics of what you know as a family changes. Add friends to your family now and then, sharing what you have. You will find that it is fulfilling and special for where you gather together in God's name He is there with you.

Love to all,

Marty
