Grilled Fish 3/27/2015

Good Morning,

Friday has returned just in time. I need a break and a slow weekend. I had a warm biscuit this morning with my Door County Pumpkin Spice Coffee. Nice start to a day.

The only thing that has disrupted the start of this day was our supper from last night. We had made earlier plans to eat pizza but changed our minds when a friend of ours gave us some walleye filets. I love grilled fish, but was just a little too tired to start the grill and cook outside.

We are blessed to have a small electric grill that can be used indoors. The fish was delicious, but as hard as we tried to remove the smell of cooked fish from the house it still has the aroma of grilled fish. Not too pleasant of an odor to wake up to.

Galatians 6:7-8
Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

God is serious when he tells us that we reap what we sow. I cooked fish so the house smelled like fish. When we sow the life if sin our life reaps the consequences of sin. Our life begins to smell to put it bluntly and in many instances the smell of our mistakes lingers for a long time.

So it is best to think before we go ahead with evil and stop to count the consequences. Just like cooking the fish would have been a better experience if it was cooked outside or at least when it was warm enough to open windows. I reaped what I sowed!

Have a great day.

Marty
