God and the Internet 1/18/14

Good Day,
This is coming to you late today. Our Internet and phones were down. This morning I was blessed to have a dear friend make a pot of Door Count Chocolate Raspberry Truffle Coffee while a we made pot pies at our church for our Brazil Mission Team.

Our Internet access went down yesterday when work was being performed next door at the neighbors house. It seems as if the work crew connected them and disconnected us. I won't use this media to bash a company. But after being on hold and speaking to people who really did not care if our telephones or computers worked until late Monday I had run out of patience. My neighbor works for the company that caused all the commotion and she pulled a few strings and our service was restored. Of course she was rewarded with a big thank you and a pot pie,.

Now that brings me to the message. While I was using my cell phone to create a work request from the phone company, who does provide our Internet service, they kept telling me to go online to monitor the request. No one seemed to understand that I could not access the Internet to accomplish anything.

Aren't you glad that when we pray to God, he understands and knows what we need even before we ask? He doesn't put us on hold but listens to our prayers immediately and starts action that is best for us.

Matthew 6:5-8

Prayer

“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

God does not need the Internet. He is available 24/7 without any down time. And He has all the answers without transferring you to another department.

Have a great day and better tomorrows.
Marty
