Citizens of Heaven 1/14/14

Good Morning World!!!!!!!!!!!

My coffee this morning is a hot cup of Door County German Chocolate Cake. It is going down just fine!

Hebrews 13:14

New Living Translation (NLT)
14 For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come.

Christian! Have you ever felt like there you just don't belong here on earth? The writer to the Hebrews describes such a feeling. He knew that Earth was not his real or final home. The New Testament urges us not to trust and put all our efforts into material belongings or treasures. For we must realize that this earth is not our home. We Christians are like foreigners, with our permanent home elsewhere.

Christians will not and should not feel at home on Earth. Our permanent home still lies in the future. But many of the privileges and full membership of our future home are with us now every day.

We are ambassadors to Earth. We are on loan and some day will go home to heaven to be with God. But in the mean time we can have a very close relationship with God. Or job is to serve the Lord while we are here. We can get a glimpse of His glory while we serve.

Jeremiah 33:3

‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.

We can know that our heavenly citizenship is ready for us.

John 14:2

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

Just don't fit in anymore? Amen, Amen. This is not your home!

God bless,
Marty
