Daughters 11/9/13

Dear Friends,

Starting early today. Caramel Apple Coffee from the Door County Coffee Company is brewing and the aroma is great.

This past week the Mrs. and I were able to visit Florida and spend time with family. We were blessed to spend time with my aunt and our daughter, son in law and the grand kids.

I would like to devote today's thoughts to our daughter. With us living in Wisconsin and her in Florida we don't get to visit as often as we would want to. Florida is nice but she puts the sun in the sunshine for us. We sure had a good time. But the last day was especially nice. We sat by their pool and just chatted. Of course I had a short nap. But we talked into the night and before we knew it the time had become pretty late. They either had school or work the next day but never said anything about being tired. It was such a good time. It left us longing for their next visit to the frozen tundra and us wanting to come back to Florida.

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.

Thanks kids. We had a ball and went home rested and loved.
Friends, spend time with your kids no matter their age. Believe it or not they can teach you some things as you get older. Deviled eggs are easier to make with a pastry gun!
