How God Looks At Us 3/7/2017

Good Morning,

My day will begin with prayer, hope and love today. The kitchen is sending me the aroma of some Door County Cherry Coffee right to the desk!

Everyone likes to think that the cultural and social divisions are more common now then back when Jesus walked the Earth. Not necessarily so! Jews distanced themselves from the Gentiles, slaves were treated like property, a woman was only worth as much as the amount of children she could produce and men and women could not just be friendly in public. The list goes on and on.

Today we have cultural differences that seem to divide us to the core. We will continue to have these differences and difficulties until we look at others through the eyes of Jesus.

In Christ, there is no difference between Jew and Greek, slave and free people, male and female. You are all the same in Christ Jesus.  Galatians 3:28

Jesus broke the mold of mold of social divisions. He spoke with prostitutes and taught them. He associated with Gentiles, rich and poor. He touched lepers, and embraced children. He treated everyone with dignity, because He knew that we are all made in the image of God despite our differences.

We live in a diverse world, no different than when Jesus lived here, worked here, and died here. If racial and social differences do not hinder His love for people than it should not stifle ours.

Are you hindered by race, religion, gender, age or social status? If so ask Jesus to show you how He looks at all of us. He looks at us through the eyes of love. Love so strong that He died for us.

Have a great day!

Marty
