Good Morning,
Saturday the beauty of a day to do some chores and relax. My coffee this morning is Door County Coconut. "Uhm Uhm Good!"
John 2:1 While Jesus was attending a wedding in Cana with his disciples.
Notice I have underlined some words in our verse above. It starts with Jesus. Everything should begin and end with Jesus.
Anyway Jesus went to a wedding. This tells you that Jesus desired fellowship and had friends. Simply put he went to a celebration in Cana which meant he had to travel a little. It also said he attended with His disciples.
Look friends our Lord and Savior had friends and enjoyed people and knew how to have a good time. He being the Son of God, set the example as to what God desires. Relationships with one another to be wholesome and fun. Notice that Jesus was not a stick in the mud and said "I can't go to a wedding because I need to avoid celebrations and pray more."
No not at all. Jesus had a prayer life and a balance that allowed him to attend a celebration.
Yes pray today, spend time in the Word of God, prepare for tomorrow, but don't miss today and the people that God sends your way.
Enjoy, enjoy enjoy. Saturday March 9th 2013 only comes once!
