Fathers Day 6-16-13

Good Morning,
Starting my day with a cup of Door County Chocolate Melt Down Coffee this morning..

Today is Father's day and for some that brings great and fond memories of a Dad who was everything he could be to you, or for some, memories that are not so fond. In some cases there are the unfortunate children who never met their Dad. This is always a day that is hard to write about. There is never the perfect thing to say.

But one thing I know is this. We all have a Heavenly Father that is easy to write about.

A Father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families, he leads forth the prisoners with singing." - Psalm 68:5-6

"How much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!" - Matthew 7:11

"Your Father in heaven is not willing that any one of these little ones should be lost." - Matthew 18:14

We have a Heavenly Father that can be counted on 24/7 and never will he leave us nor forsake us. Men are human and will fail, and even pass away. But God is our constant and He loves you. He showed his love for us.

Romans 5:8

New King James Version (NKJV)
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Today pray for Dads everywhere that we all can be models of what God intended. If you or your dad does not know the love of Jesus within your heart make today the day that you invite Him in to your heart as Lord and Savior. Pray that your Dad would also make that decision.

God bless,
Marty
