A Little More Fruit In Your Diet. 6/28/2025

 Good Morning,

I am barely awake this morning. I think that my daytime activities caught up to me and a nap is already needed. I just poured a stiff cup of Door County Irish Crème Coffee and it is time to write.

I visited with my doctor last week and she recommended a little more fruit in my weekly diet. She said it would be good for my digestive system and overall health. 

I thought about that for a few minutes as I drove home and decided that she had a good point and that I would try the old "eating an apple a day, keeps the doctor away." 

On the way home I also contemplated my personal disposition as of late and realized that my life was missing some spiritual fruit. 

Galatians 5:22 5:24-25 NKJV But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24. And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with it's passions and desires. 25. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 

I have been depressed a little, angry a little, and impatient with others a little. I am sure what they see in my life is far from the actual fruit of the Spirit. 

I know the answer and it is simple, I need to pray more, and listen to the Word of God. My prayer needs to ask God to show me the way out of this funk. I need to buckle down and take in my "GOSPILS" .

I intend to do that later today and again tonight. I have to make an adjustment to my Spiritual diet. How about you? Are you getting your daily dose of Spiritual Fruit? Is the walk of your life producing good fruit? Maybe it is time for a diet change!

  1. Appreciate your honesty as I too have been in a funk…hospital stays will do that! More of the Word is necessary for me too. Thank you!
