I Wouldn't Want To Be A Juror 6/5/2025

 Good Morning,

I just poured a hot cup of Door County Peanut Butter Cup Coffee and it is tasting pretty good.

For about a little bit more than a year I have been watching the nightly news and some of the coverage on jury trials nationally and locally. I have to be honest and say that I listen to the news coverage of the crime, the news accounts of the trial, verdicts and the sentence. I find that after listening to to all the information available I could never be an impartial juror. I would be confused with using common sense or the actual evidence or lack of evidence.

Why am I writing about this today? Just to make my point about arguments. When a dispute comes your way, it is always best to listen until all the facts are presented from all sides involved. Do not judge what you heard immediately and don't judge anything you did not hear. Don't let opinions dispute hard cold facts. Common sense can't rule out facts either.

Be careful. If you are called to jury duty, rest the night before. Pray for good listening skills and do your best to be impartial and to avoid feelings. Just stick to the facts.

God bless,

Marty.
