I ran into someone I used to work with a few years ago while I was picking up some groceries yesterday. It seems that she and her husband will be visiting Alaska at the same time we are going to be there. What a coincidence that is. Hopefully we can pull it off to be able to sit down and have a cup of coffee.
This summer is already half over and we are just now pulling out our patio set and will be celebrating the Fourth of July with friends and family. For one reason or another that never happened at all last year. Why? I don't know for sure. It wasn't that we were all that busy, we just chose to hermitize our activities last year. We have no excuse and it was our loss for not hosting a get together or two. There should always be some time available to be hospitable and enjoy the company of others.
We are as hospitable as we choose to be. We are as busy as we choose to be. We are as lonely as we choose to be. Add up the sum of the last three statements and "We are as happy as we choose to be." Share yourself with others and enjoy the summer before the winter does make you stay inside or away from people.
Take in a parade and give the candy you catch to the kids around you. Sugar them up and send them to grandmas house! Get yourself out there!
