After The Smoke Cleared 6/7/2025

 Good Morning,

My hot cup of Door County Peanut Butter Crunch Coffee is working to smooth out the morning in my bones today.

Philippians 4:19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Yesterday we held our annual Men's Steak Feed at our church and it was very well attended. In general I would concede to the fact that men like big steaks, baked potatoes, root beer, and smoke. Throw in some beans, corn and hot peppers for the potatoes and you have a recipe for victory. This event is produced by a small band of men. The clean up was also managed by the men and two of their wives. Once that smoked cleared from the grilling and the last steak was eaten, the clean up team went into overdrive. I am very proud to say that those two gals worked like their lives depended on it. They set the pace for all of us we and were able to go home at a reasonable hour.

My point for the day is this. I will keep it short. God was given all the glory for the 25 years of steak dinners. We celebrated His blessing us with good weather every year and assembling teams of men and women who care enough about others to give a day and a half of their time to serve others. The event has never run in the red and amazing deals on supplies have just become the norm.

God's work, done in His way never lacks His support.

Marty
