Good Morning,
I have to wait to drink some Door County Black and Tan Coffee until later this morning. My annual visit to the doctor doesn't allow me to drink anything but water for a few more hours. Not drinking my usual cup of coffee while I write has me little cranky.
Genesis 2:24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife and they shall become one.
Today if my parents were still alive they would be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary. I am not sure if at their age there would be much of a celebration. So I guess I will celebrate for them with that cup of coffee I am waiting on.
My thought for today is this. We all have markers in our lives. There are special days that we hold dear to us. The date on the calendar causes us to take action even if it is just to remember the event for a moment and raise your coffee cup to toast two people who aren't even here anymore. It is good to celebrate the memories of the heart and enjoy a moment or two allowing yourself to exercise some happy emotions.
You owe it to yourself to observe the markers in your life and still make room for new ones.
