The Path That Leads to Trouble 2/4/14

Good Morning,

Another Tuesday morning under the belt. I heard someone say that baseball season is just a couple months away. Hard to believe, as I look at all the snow in our yard. So as I drink another cup of Door County Highlander Grog coffee and head to work, I have to grin. It's only one month until a spring goose hunt for me.

One of the arts of waterfowl hunting is the proper use of a duck or goose call.
Combined with some decoys, ducks and geese are usually fooled into getting too close to the hunter. Well the rest of the story is not a good one for the duck or goose.
We too are often fooled by what we believe is a good idea or a life road that we should travel. What starts out as a harmless drink after work sometimes can become  a habit that is hard to break and causes way too much damage. What starts out as some harmless kidding around might turn into an extra marital affair. We get fooled into believing that a new sleek fast car would help us to be happy, until it is driven too fast and we crash in it. The Devil does not have to use much to lure us into trouble.

The reason Satan tries to deceive us, is to get us to believe something that is simply not true. Believers who are ignorant of God's Word are more likely to be deceived and if they begin to accept Satan's lies as truth, the devil will start to build a stronghold in their minds.

How do we combat Satan's deception? By prayer and being in the Word.

Romans 12:2

New King James Version (NKJV)
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Don't be deceived.
Have a great day.
Marty
