Making This Christmas One To Remember 12/15/2025

 Good Morning,

My cup of Door County Christmas Coffee is just hot enough to be considered scalding. Our house is a little cold this morning, so the coffee will be ready to drink after it sits for a couple minutes.

Luke 1:14 NKLV And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth.

My wife Rene and I have thought long and hard about not buying Christmas presents for each other. The debate went back and forth on the subject since early October. We compromised on just purchasing something for each other with a dollar limit that is quite small. Just  something to show some thought and love is what we chose to do. In addition to that we agreed to watch for God to lay someone on our heart to buy something of need for them. We discussed this today and both believe we know where God wants us to spread some kindness.

I believe it is kindness to others that should be the emphasis of gift giving. We are blessed to not have any needs for ourselves and if a token of kindness can ease the load for someone else we think that is what Christmas is about.

For me and my wife, we both received the gift of each other many years ago. We cherish the thought that on Christmas we celebrate the gift God gave us in sending His Son to be the Savior of the world. It is a gift we don't deserve, but we enjoy the peace it brings. Christmas is a good time to count your blessings and then pass some on to someone else.

Food for thought.

Marty
