Good Morning,
My insulated bottle is filled with boiling hot Door County Jungle Bell Java and I will be going out soon to hunt geese with my friends.
I am hoping our efforts to get some geese to put on the table are blessed by our Lord today. I would like to be able to serve a plate of goose for Christmas dinner. If not I have a ham on stand by.
I really like Christmas celebrations and I can think of many, that if given the chance I would go back in time to do them all over again. Next week we will celebrate once again and then have to wait until next year (Lord willing) to celebrate again.
But do we need to celebrate only once a year? It is a daily celebration that is needed. We can go back all the way to when man fell from grace because of Adam and Eve. We can find hope and a reason to celebrate. The Old testament is filled with very vivid predictions about the coming Messiah. If we take the time to understand the prophesies it will help us grasp the depth of God's love, and the plan for the certainty of His promises to us.
When we face challenges or feel hopeless we can go back and read the promises made long before we were born and see how God kept His word and every one of the promises while in it's time have come true. God is faithful.
2 Corinthians 1:20 ESV For all the promises of God find their yes in him. That is why it is through Him that we utter our Amen to God for His glory.
God bless,
Marty
