Making The Best Of Today 12/23/2025

 Good Morning,

A hot mug of Door County White Christmas Coffee is right in front of me and it is time to write.

I am supposed to be hunting for geese today but an injury to my eye has me sidelined for a couple of weeks. I just finished praying for my buddies who will be in the field within a few minutes if they aren't already settling into a goose blind. I prayed for a bountiful hunt for them, hunter safety, and thankful that my injury was not something that messed up the hunt for all of us. I thank my nephew for filling in for me without much notice.

Romans 8:18 NKJV For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

I must make a return to the doctor later this morning for a follow up. I intend not to waste the day doing nothing. My goal is to roast a turkey and use the meat for such things as salads and soup. I also want to bake some bread buns today to have for our Christmas dinner.

My point for the day is this. I would much rather be with my buddies ambushing some geese. But that wasn't in God's plan for my day. So I will make the best use of my time and hope that next year brings some more opportunities to hunt with them.

It is quiet in the house except for all the chattering coming from a gooses blind a state away. Just a little private joke. Mario won't run out of words today! The gatekeeper of chatter had to sit it out today.
