Good Morning,
I just poured a hot cup of Door County Spiced Coffee and it is now time to write.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.
Last night at our Men's Bible Study one of the fellas quoted Psalm 19:14. The verse stuck in my head all night and into this morning. It made me realize that all my words for today should be used to build up others, or to redirect others if needed. But all should be said and done in a way that is acceptable to God.
The words coming forth from our mouths can hurt if they are unbridled. Words are just never words. They are identifiers of what's in a mind or in a heart.
I for one took Psalm 19:14 to heart and used it as a prayer this morning. Because!!! This old guy can always use some help controlling my mouth. More constructive speech for me today and less potential to be hurtful is on my plate.
