Good Morning,
I will be waiting for the repair trucks to show up today. My Door County Breakfast Blend Coffee will be shared with the siding crew, The repairs to our home were needed from storm damage in June. It's been a long wait and a little stressful.
Our Church Men's Bible Study will be starting a new book in a few weeks. The study is Experiencing The Resurrection Written by Henry and Melvin Blackaby.
Philippians 3:8-10 NKJV Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ. 9. and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; 10. that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being conformed to His death.
Throughout my years in following Christ I have heard many people say that they want to know more of God. Look at what I wrote. Not "More about God" which is also a noble venture. Wanting more of God is not just a 3 month study on Godly facts. Wanting more of God means that you desire to experience more of Him, and that means you desire to have him touch all aspects of your life. It might require study time for sure. But it will also require you to concede your will and follow God and His will.
Just some food for thought. Do you know about God? Or do you know Him personally and through experience? Think that through and follow His lead. You have been following your own leadership long enough.
Marty
