The Project Is Finished 9/21/2025

 Good Morning,

There is nothing like a hot cup of Door County Maple Coffee to wake you up on a rainy damp morning.

Philippians 1:3-6 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you. 4. Always in every prayer of mine making request for you will all joy, 5. for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, 6. being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

On June 3rd we experienced a wind, hail and rain storm that caused damage to our home. The first battle after making some temporary repairs to the house was to contact our insurance company who basically was not easy to work with and the process was so bad that soon they will be losing our business, home, autos and a boat. I will not slam them by name on this public forum but contact me and I will give you all the details as to how bad they were to deal with after thirty years of paying them without any claims.

The house ended up needing to replace the entire siding, gutters and facia. The team we settled on did a nice job and except for a couple minor items that are mine to finish, the project is complete.

Have you ever thought of yourself as a project? God created us, gave us an amount of unknown days to make our mark on this world and then one day it is over. But during our lifetime God  is continually refining us and molding us  to be the person He created. He never stops working on His projects which are me and you.

Many times he has to deal with our stubborn and disobedient attitudes and ill wills. A lot like a poor insurance company who is just hard to work with. God never stops working on us and for us.

At some point though we will check out from this world and the results will be heavenly of hellish. Our house had no choices in what was to be a full color change and some modifications. Unlike us who can choose the road in eternity that we will travel.

Choosing Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior is a fool proof insurance policy for eternity. Rejecting Him is making a deal with the devil to represent you and I for eternity in hell.

Basically we choose the outcome, but God never quits until the day we die.

Food for thought. it's your choice.

Marty
