Good Morning,
I just sat down at the desk and next to me is a hot cup of Door County Mocha Mint Coffee. It is time to write.
Psalm 46:10. Be still and know that I am God.
Now and then even being retired can get too busy and I find myself being in constant GO mode. I find myself being pulled in many directions and the world just seems to get loud. I find that I need to spend some time with a dear friend of mine called "Quiet". It is nice to be needed. It is special to be included with others. It is a good feeling to be useful. But when the world becomes the only thing you can truly hear it is time to take a trip with my friend, Mr. Quiet.
Later this morning I will be packing up my truck and going to work on hunting techniques with our youngest dog Leo. Group training is valuable, but sometimes a guy just needs to spend time with his dog and train alone. If I weren't training with my dog, I would be doing something else that doesn't require interaction with the world. I am always happy to spend time with me wife. But today finds her needing to spend time with her mom. That leaves me some time to think, pray, and enjoy being with my friend "Quiet" and be outdoors.
1 Thessalonians 4:11 Aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands as we have instructed you.
May God bless, your time with Mr. Quiet.
Marty
