Life Is A Game of Chance 5/25/2025

Good Morning,

Door County Mocha Mint Coffee filled my insulated bottle about 30 minutes ago and I am ready to write.

Yesterday I attended a Hunt Test for hunting dogs not too far from where we live. I have retired from running my dogs in these events, but I have several friends and a nephew who have been training for their dogs to compete in the test and advance toward a Master Hunter Title.

A few of the dogs were disqualified for something they did our did not do. To say the least when this happens the owner can get quite discouraged. They have the opportunity to try again today. I pray for different results for them.

If I were to write something to encourage them it would be to count their blessings.

At the end of the day even though their furry buddy had a bad day, they still went home with you. They just want you to be there in the morning to greet the day with you. You are their whole world and they love you even when YOU have a bad day. The four legged companion was your choice to buy or inherit. But in reality Rover was a gift from God.  If you made the mistake instead of them making one they would have forgotten it many hours ago. They would never keep a record of your wrongs.

Ephesians 4:32 ESV Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, ads God in Christ forgave you.

How does this lesson apply to everyone else who reads this? Things happen and sometimes you are let down by those who love you most. They did not mean to, but stuff happens. Learn to be like a dog and forgive immediately and remember life needs to go on.

Wag your tail and get on with forgiving, and then enjoying some life.

God bless,

Marty
