Good morning.
I have with me a hot cup of Door County Peanut Butter Cup Coffee and it is time to write.
Many homes have places of religion on the wall, a table or a shelf. Some display a Bible verse or a Godly quote. The inhabitants of the home attend church, yet their personal lives are not reflective of a personal walk with God.
They lack integrity when the religious displays are nothing but shelf fillers.
They quietly wonder when the house will actually become a home where God is worshipped and followed.
The walls are painted in the home. Guests see evidence of you having a knowledge of God but in reality because of pride that keeps the sins you like readily available, your home lacks the presence of God.
The key to a home where God is more than a wall covering, is humility, and living with a humble and honest heart.
2 Chronicles 7: 14 "If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
15.Now my eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.
Is your home occupied by God? Or does He get a small place on the shelf?
Think this one through.
