Good Morning,
A day with a hot cup of Door County Cherry Creme Coffee started off with me also putting a few logs on the fire. It sure is a cold one out there.
I like trying new things that people recommend to eat. Ask me to eat Sushi and in two minutes I am late for the door. But I have tried it.
Genesis 9:3 ESV Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything.
However I was talking with a friend and he recommended placing in a frying pan a cup of cooked pinto or red beans on top of three or four very thin slices of smoked pork, Drop on two fresh eggs and cook it all until the eggs are done to your liking. He also said to drizzle a little of your favorite hot sauce on top of the dietary creation, and for me that was Tapatio. Some shredded cheese was optional. I have to say that this recipe found it's way to a place in our kitchen.
My point is that we can all get into ruts and we become very mundane to ourselves and others. We get stuck on doing the same thing over and over again. We become stuck in habits or traditions. Trying something new before ruling it out broadens our outlooks and keeps us flexible in other situations. This world is big and God made it that way just for us. Why not sample as much of it as you can? You never know. Your new favorite food might just be a sip or bite away. Ever eat rattlesnake tacos?
God bless,
Marty
