Just A Sandwich 1/10/2026

 Good Morning,

I am a little sore this morning from hunting yesterday. I have been restricted as to what I do because of an injury. So stepping out to chase pheasants with friends and our dogs was a little foreign to my body and I am paying for it today. My cup of Door County Jingle Bell Java is getting cold and it is time to write.

Romans 15:7 Therefore welcome one another, just as Christ, also received us, to the glory of God.

Tonight though is the simplest of what we do. People are bringing items that you would put on a sandwich. Add some potato chips to the mix and that's dinner. It gets a little more extravagant as the year goes by.

People will stay, eat and chat with each other for about an hour after church tonight and then go home after being fed spiritually and physically. It is important that a church fellowships together now and then and especially uses that time to welcome new comers and those who if they went straight home would be eating alone. It is good for people to mix together and not always be alone.

So my point is this. If your church offers these types of fellowship, attend when you can, and bring a smile to the table. You might not need the fellowship but someone else might. Sit down and eat with a stranger or someone you only see once a week.  You just might make a tough day less tough for yourself or someone else.

God Bless

Marty
